Sleeve Love

I know Holby City is one of the more unlikely places to develop a style crush, but within the cheesy story lines a figures of such outstanding style burst onto the screen and quite frankly made my night.  Eddi, all confident attitude and perfect fringe.  But it was not the aura of calm capability and the glorious hair which did it for me, it was the jacket.  Mustard yellow (THE colour of A/W 11/12 donchaknow), boxy and with bracelet length sleeves, absolutely glorious.  Three quarter length sleeves, why had I not thought of it before, they look amazing.

Since then I have been obsessing about sleeve lengths for jackets.  Sleeveless and short sleeved jackets are still and will always be a style no no, but 3/4 and bracelet length hit just the right note for summer.

Unfortunately, after doing a bit of research, the cheaper end of the High Street don't seem to be doing them much this year but you can find some beauties mid and upper range.

Clockwise from top:
Kanne Jacket from Toast £155
Jaeger London Perforated Suede Jacket £349 (sale price)
Mint 3/4 Sleeve Shrunken Blazer from Top Shop (also available in black) £55
Iro Yulli Silver Sequinned Jacket £392
Naima Swing Jacket from Toast £155
